Exploring the mining area

Full-day walking tour with guide: experience the former mining area of Schneeberg on an impressive guided tour of the museum and the mining gallery

This tour starts at the Schneebergbrücke bridge and leads to the former mining area. In addition to visiting the museum, the programme includes fascinating insights into the underground world of the St. Martin Gallery and the Himmelreich Gallery. The experience is rounded off with an excursion through the historic miners’ settlement before descending together back to the starting point.

Tour itinerary:
• ascent to the former Schneeberg mining area (now mountain hut and museum)
• visit of the museum
• exploration of the St. Martin Gallery
• lunch break with the option to stop at the Schneeberghütte hut (not included in the price)
• exploration of the Himmelreich Gallery
• excursion through the miners’ settlement
• descent back to the starting point

Return: arround 5:30 p.m. at the Schneebergbrücke bridge

Walking time: approx. 5 h (out and back) | Difference in altitude: approx. 750 m

The guided tour will be in German and Italian.

Hiking clothing, hiking boots, backpack, sun and rain protection and provisions.
