50 years of Texelgruppe/Gruppo di Tessa Nature Park - anniversary celebration

The Autonomous Province of Bozen/Bolzano-Südtirol/Alto Adige designated seven nature parks between 1974 and 1989. The aim was to preserve, maintain, and protect extensive natural and cultural landscapes representative of the region. In this way, these landscapes were safeguarded from large-scale development projects and destructive interventions, some of which had already been planned. In addition, the nature parks hold particular value for environmental education, scientific research, and experiencing nature.
In 1976, the establishment of the Texelgruppe/Gruppo di Tessa Nature Park was approved by decree of the President of the Provincial Executive, and in the same year the inauguration ceremony was held with Silvius Magnago. The celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Texelgruppe/Gruppo di Tessa Nature Park is not intended merely as an occasion to look back, but above all as an opportunity to look ahead to the future.
