Train services in the Vinschgau Valley have
been partially resumed. On the Merano–Laas section, trains are now running regularly (partly hourly or every two hours). Some connections in the morning and evening continue to operate along the entire route to Mals. Bicycle transport is permitted on these trains.
In addition, a rail replacement bus service remains in operation between Merano and Mals. Please note that bicycles are not allowed on these buses.
From 18 April 2026:
A half-hourly service between Merano and Laas is planned. On the Laas–Mals section, only a limited number of connections will initially be available in the morning and evening. The replacement bus service between Merano and Mals will continue to operate.
Furthermore,
from 18 April 2026, a separate bike transport service will be introduced: a minibus with a bike trailer will run four times daily between Merano and Mals, helping to ease pressure on the trains.
For the latest updates, we recommend checking the app or website of
südtirolmobil.
