Ski Tour to the Lodner Peak (3,228 m)

Difficult ski tour

Route description

From Pfelders/Plan, follow the wide track until just before the Lazinser Alm pasture. Cross the bridge and follow the narrow trail along the left slope of the Tschinglstal Valley as far as the Bockhütte mountain hut (1,986m). About 100 m to the right just behind it, cross over the wide ridge to reach the Andelsalm Alpine pasture (2,297 m). Pass the hut on the right and continue all the way up to the Lodner.

Note: since the ascent is very steep, only the most adept should attempt the climb on skis!

Descent: Same as the ascent, leading down magnificent slopes and through the forest.

Description to arrive at destination

From Meran/Merano to the Passeiertal Valley in direction of Timmelsjoch Mountain Pass until Pfelders/Plan.

Parking
Parking is available in the large car park (subject to charge) at the beginning of the village of Pfelders/Plan.
Public transport

The starting point is easy to reach with the following public connections: With bus line 240 from Meran/Merano to Pfelders/Plan.

Always be informed about snow conditions and avalanche risk before setting off.
Equipment
As with any ski tour, you should always have all your ski touring equipment with you.
