Transhumance is part of UNESCO's immaterial cultural heritage. It is the only sheep drive in the world🌎 that crosses a glacier and a national border at the same time.

On 08.09. and 14.09.2024 the time has finally come again!😍
On 08.09.2024, around 1.500 sheep set off early in the morning from the Rofenberg alpine pasture in the Venter Valley (Austria). The herd arrives in Kurzras between 3.00 and 4.00 pm.🐑 Up to 2.200 sheep, on the other hand,🐑 move from the Niedertal alpine pasture in the Venter Tal (Austria) to the Similaunhütte on 14.09.2024 and then they arrive in Vernagt at 2.00 pm.

Die Transhumanz ist Teil des immateriellen Kulturerbes der UNESCO. Als einziger Schafübertrieb der Welt🌎 führt er gleichzeitig über einen Gletscher und eine Landesgrenze.

Am 08.09. bzw. 14.09.2024 ist es endlich wieder soweit!😍
Am 08.09.2024 starten am frühen Morgen ca. 1.500 Schafe bei der Rofenberg Alm im Venter Tal (Österreich). Zwischen 15.00 und 16.00 Uhr trifft die Herde in Kurzras sein.🐑 Bis zu 2.200 Schafe hingegen,🐑 ziehen am 14.09.2024 von der Niedertal Alm im Venter Tal (Österreich), zur Similaunhütte und kommen dann anschließend um 14.00 Uhr in Vernagt an.

An beiden Tagen findet ein traditionelles Hirtenfest statt!🎊

La transumanza fa parte del patrimonio culturale immateriale dell'UNESCO. È l'unica transumanza di pecore al mondo🌎 che attraversa contemporaneamente un ghiacciaio e un confine nazionale.

Il 8 settembre e il 14 settembre 2024 è finalmente arrivato di nuovo il momento!😍
8 settembre 2024, circa 1.500 pecore partiranno la mattina presto dalla malga Rofenberg nella Valle di Vent (Austria). Il gregge arriverà a Maso Corto tra le ore 15.00 e le 16.00.🐑 Fino a 2.200 pecore, invece, si sposteranno dalla malga Niedertal nella Valle di Vent (Austria) al rifugio Similaun il 14 settembre 2024. Verso le 14.00 il gregge arriva a Vernago.🐑

In entrambi i giorni si svolge una tradizionale festa dei pastori!🎊
