Im Herzen Europas gelegen, ist Südtirol mit den Zügen der Österreichischen Bundesbahnen, der Schweizerischen Bundesbahnen sowie der Deutschen Bahn gut zu erreichen.

Von der Landeshauptstadt Bozen aus erreichst du Meran und Umgebung direkt mit einem Anschlusszug.

In Meran und Umgebung angekommen, können Reisende der Züge DB/ÖBB mit dem Anschlussticket Südtirol die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel nutzen, um am Anreisetag in ihre Unterkunft bzw. am Rückreisetag zum Bahnhof zu kommen.

Einen komfortablen Weg bis zum Feriendomizil, bieten auch diverse Transferanbieter in Südtirol, die fast alle Unterkunftsbetriebe mit den wichtigsten, nächstliegenden Südtiroler Bahnhöfen verbinden.

Südtirol Bus bietet einen Bahnhof Transfer bis zur gebuchten Unterkunft und wieder retour an. Alle Bahnhöfe entlang der Brennerlinie werden stündlich angefahren. Zusätzlich werden auch mehrmals täglich die Bahnhöfe Landeck, Innsbruck, München und Garmisch angefahren. Die Sammel-Transfers können online gebucht werden. Buchungen werden bis 13:00 Uhr am Vortag entgegengenommen.

With over 800 castles and fortresses across South Tyrol, the Merano region is one of the most castle-dense areas in Europe.🏰🗝

Famous landmarks like Tyrol Castle and Scena Castle are well worth a visit. But the real discoveries lie elsewhere: Castel Katzenzungen in Prissian, home to Europe's largest grapevine; the quietly rising ruins of Castle Dornsberg in Naturns; and the often-overlooked Prince's Castle in the heart of Merano, built in 1470 as a private retreat for Archduke Sigismund of Austria.

Some are hotels. Some are ruins. All of them have a story.
